Environmental problems of the cities with the oil refining industry in The Russian Federation

Abstract:

During the construction of oil refineries is the environmental pollution and this is a problem in many cities of the Russian Federation. Intensive geological surveys in different regions of the country created the conditions for the construction of oil refineries. Of environmental issues in those days was not the question. However, this led to the rapid growth and development of cities with the oil industry. The General plans of the cities mentioned sanitary-protective zone was established. Not take into account the wind rose, Stripping the state of the air environment, the orographic conditions of the terrain, temperature and humidity conditions and the migration of carcinogenic emissions on residential areas. Over time, all these cities were polluted by industrial emissions. This has led to the deterioration of population health of the various reproductive structures and increased perinatal mortality. Exploring population pyramids and other demographic data, one can observe an increase in perinatal mortality in these cities. In recent years, thanks to the improvement of the environment and the construction of perinatal centres, we can observe a sharp improvement in the demographic situation. The birth rate finally exceeded the death rate, especially in the cities petroleum industry.
