Abstract:

The main purpose of the research was the analysis of the quantitative and qualitative composition of wastewater discharged into water bodies of the Republic of Crimea. Pollution of the Crimean water resources is a result of human activities and it began a long time ago and is mainly due to population growth and increasing rates of urbanization. The analysis showed that the main source of pollutants in water bodies is the objects of municipal economy now. Until 2014, agriculture was in the first place in terms of the volume of discharges. The situation has changed due to the transition to the necessity to use only local water resources, which are available in limited quantities on the Republic of Crimea. It is noted that the volumes of water supplied for irrigation decreased by more than 10 times, which led to a reduction in the area of irrigated lands.
