Origin and classification of dismantling and construction waste

Abstract:

The relationship of dismantling and construction waste with impacts on buildings and structures is shown in the article. It is noted that the morphology of construction waste is determined by the type of buildings and structures, the location of the construction site, number of storeys, operational requirements. The classification of waste according to the principle of its origin, the features of terminology in the field of construction waste are considered. It has been established that in the field of construction waste management there is a need to develop a methodology for the classification of waste repair, reconstruction, modernization, restoration, demolition and dismantling of buildings and structures. The Belarusian experience of waste management from dismantling and construction of buildings and structures is considered. The current regulatory documents of the Republic of Belarus in the field of waste management of dismantling and construction of buildings and structures are considered. It is noted that in determining and classifying the types of construction and dismantling waste, it is advisable to take into account the type of buildings and structures, layout features, loads and impacts on them too, etc. It is noted that there is no generally accepted terminology for waste generated after the demolition or dismantling of dilapidated and obsolete buildings and structures in environmental literature. This complicates the creation of a convenient state classification system.
