Policy on authorship and contributorship
All authors should have made substantial contributions to all of the following:
– the conception and design of the study, or acquisition of data, or analysis and interpretation of data;
– drafting the article or revising it critically for important intellectual content;
– final approval of the version to be submitted in the Journal (Ekologiya i Stroitelstvo).
Authors should appoint a corresponding author to communicate with the Journal (Ekologiya i Stroitelstvo) during the editorial process. All authors should agree to be accountable for all aspects of the work to ensure that the questions related to the accuracy or integrity of any part of the work are appropriately investigated and resolved.
The editor of the Journal (Ekologiya i Stroitelstvo) generally will not consider changes to authorship once a manuscript has been submitted. It is important that authors carefully consider the authorship list and order of authors and provide a definitive author list at original submission. Changes in authorship after the publication of an article can be made by decision of the judicial system or in the process of retraction at the written request of all authors.
Any addition, deletion or rearrangement of author names in the authorship list should only be made prior to acceptance, and only if approved by the journal editor.
Requests to change authorship should be made by the corresponding author, who must provide the reason for the request to the journal editor with written confirmation from all authors, including any authors being added or removed, that they agree with the addition, removal or rearrangement.
All requests to change authorship must be submitted by e-mail: journec@bk.ru. Requests that are not sent by email will not be considered. Verbal requests are not considered.
Only in exceptional circumstances will the journal editor consider the addition, deletion or rearrangement of authors post acceptance. Publication of the manuscript may be paused while a change in authorship request is being considered. Any authorship change requests approved by the journal editor will result in a corrigendum if the manuscript has already been published. Any unauthorised authorship changes may result in the rejection of the article, or retraction, if the article has already been published.
Policy on correction
A Corrigendum will be published where it is required to correct an error or omission, but the integrity and findings of the article are not impacted by the error. The Corrigendum should be drafted by the authors. All authors must agree to publication. On rare occasions the Publisher may need to correct an error made during the publication of an article. Where this is the case, the journal will issue an Erratum to correct the error. The Erratum and he Corrigendum will be linked to the article that it corrects. The policy on correction is based on recommendations of the
Policy on retraction
Articles may be retracted to correct errors that impact the findings reported by an article where they are too extensive in the view of the editors to publish a correction, or due to infringements of The Journal Ekologiya i Stroitelstvo policies, such as multiple submission, bogus claims of authorship, plagiarism, fraudulent use of data or the like. The policy on retraction is based on recommendations of the
Journal editors or designated representative(s) (such as reviewers) will consider retracting an article where:
– they have clear evidence that the findings are unreliable, either as a result of major error, or as a result of fabrication (e.g., of data) or falsification (e.g., image manipulation);
– it constitutes plagiarism;
– the findings have previously been published elsewhere and the authors have failed to provide proper attribution to previous sources or disclosure to the editor, permission to republish, or justification (i.e. redundant publication);
– it contains material or data that the authors were not authorised to publish;
– copyright has been infringed or there is some other serious legal issue (e.g., libel, breach of privacy);
– it breaches The Journal’s publishing ethics policies;
– there is evidence of compromised peer-review or systematic manipulation of the editorial process;
– there is evidence or material concerns of authorship being sold;
– there is evidence of citation manipulation;
– the author(s) failed to disclose a major competing interest (a conflict of interest) that, in the view of the editor, would have materially affected interpretations of the work or recommendations by editors and/or peer reviewers;
– there is evidence of any other breach of The Journal's publishing policies and the editor has therefore lost confidence in the validity or integrity of the article.
